I don't know when the clapping thing started, but it seems like some easy bi-partisan points could be scored by congresspeople who refuse to partake.
It makes the thing completely unwatchable and it's so utterly pointless.

Then he ranted about Merica being the highest prescription drug prices in the world. Then adds a “WELL NOT ANY MORE!” That got a huge ovation.

But I dunno how tough on big pharma he really plans to get. Pretty sure he was just talking about price capping insulin for seniors on Medicare.
