This is a big drop off to our bench - similar to 2021 - where our 6th best and 7th best players were Bryce Thompson at.186 and Mitch at .180.

Even 2012, you had Kevin Young at .207.

2021 and this season, so far, looks like they have the lowest combined Crimscores for the 6, 7 and 8 spots combined under Bill Self teams.

Dajuan almost seems low, but coming off prob the best game of his career so far, it’s easy to forget he’s also been inconsistent

Jalen Wilson is on pace to have the 8th highest single season Crimscore under Bill Self all time.

Almost surprising it’s only 8th but I guess he’s not super efficient

Gradey Dick's frosh Crimscore ( .519 ) would be 5th best under Self behind Josh Jackson ( .661 ), Joel Embiid ( .614 ), Andrew Wiggins ( .613 ) and Ben McLemore ( .595 ).

All of the above players made 1st team B12 except for Embiid, who won defensive player of the year but was on the 2nd team.

No.
42% would be the lowest FG% in the top 10 by a decent amount.
Frank Mason's 49% would be the 2nd lowest.

Sorry, edited.
Had it as individual seasons and overall.
Now it is overall.

Svi obviously improved on his dismal frosh season.

As far as individual seasons, there are only 5 players under Self, with as many minutes per game as Yesufu ( 12.6 MPG ) who shot a worse FG%.

Charlie Moore 19
13.1 MPG
28.6% FG

Naadir Tharpe 13
19.4 MPG
34.3% FG

Conner Teahan 12
21 MPG
36.4% FG

Russ Rob 06
28.5 MPG
37.1% FG

Selby 11
20.4 MPG
37.3% FG

All of these 5 players mentioned had more than 1 APG - compared to Yes's .3.

A lot of what DaJuan's good at doesn't show up in the box score.

And some of his weaknesses do.

This does not include Svi if you are talking about his career.

It does include Svis freshman year when he was 17.

Svi raised his average up for his career to 42.8%.
His senior season he shot 43.3% and 44.4% from 3.

A .430 isn’t bad.
It’s not good either.
The average for a starter under Self is around .480 so just a touch under average.

I have a nearly-allergic reaction to this.

Everything Harris does shows up in the box score. Perhaps not his own personal box score, but it's there.

He was excellent last night, for which he deserves credit. He was putrid against Iowa State - to the point that we had more turnovers than field goals - for which he deserves blame.

That's how it goes as the lead guard.

Ball movement, spacing, timing and location of passes, generally being disruptive...these don't show up.

And, yes, not his personal box score...if he pressures a guard who throws it outta bounds, we get a TO but he doesn’t get a steal for his crimscore

Last night there was 1 play where DH pointed for KM to move to the corner which moved the defense slightly and he promptly fired it to KJ for an easy bucket.

There is a reason Self loves him. Jay Bilas gets it and I'd say Jay knows more about college basketball than most people, all of us included.
