I would shrivel up into a ball and die if my livelihood depended on being on my knees to the "well actually this boy genius tech mogulgrifter knows better than the industry and your feeble mind just isn't READY to be unplugged from the matrix" set.

Me too.
I forget, who was our resident genius that tried to convince us that an abundance of YouTube views meant Gabbard and Yang had legitimate shots to win the nomination?

I was sitting in a sports bar in Nebraska watching the KU bowl game with DC. Watching him chug liter cups of diet Mountain Dew was inspiring. He told me he was kinda disappointed in his buddy Ramasmarmy. He thinks the pint sized political action figure was just in it for the grift, which could include his own show on the Tucker Muthafuckin Slouchy Chair Bitch Network (TMSCBN) that is in the offing.

Makes sense.

For the record, once you get 48 ounces of Mountain Dew in DC he is a fuckin hoot.

Mail in voting doesn't bother me.

But requiring ID wouldn't bother me either.

Indifferent on "paper ballots". They're still counted by machines.

I want secure voting. However they accomplish that doesn't matter to me.

Give everyone a Rubik's cube?

Single day voting on Election Day? How is that going to help fix the country?
"National Holiday" or not, people work, people travel out of town, people have different residencies, people are sick and incapacitated. Fuck those people?

Lil’Vivek talking about content of character.

From a guy that swindled his way to where he is.

I can definitely see why Randy loves him.

Wanting a secure election is something everything should want. Yet democrats are against voter ID. Ever wondered why?

Things you need ID for

Alcohol, cigarettes, opening a bank account, Applying for food stamps, welfare, medicaid/social security, unemployment, rent/buy a house, drive buy or rent a car, get on an airplane, get married, purchase a gun, adopt a pet, get a hotel room, hunting license, fishing license, utilities, cell phone, go to a casino, prescription meds, blood donations, buy M rated video games, go to R rated movie, enter state or federal buildings, and more

But democrats have convinced people that voting shouldn't require ID?? That's insane. And they've come up with every reason except the real one. They don't want secure elections because they want to be able to harvest extra votes

I can’t be the only one who wonders:

Does Randy walk upstairs to get food, or does his mom bring it to him?

When you have no argument left. Revert to petty name calling. Typical overlander

Actually, your mom brings it to me, in exchange for some sausage

Nothing in your first paragraph is a Constitutional Right. Voting is. I don’t think buying meds requires ID.

I’m all for ID requirement for voting, as long as obtaining one is free (otherwise it’s a poll tax, prohibited by the Constitution -you do know what that is, correct?) and does not require producing documentation which costs money. Or taking time off work, also costs money.

Haven’t we gone over this before?

I think you meant everyone - not "everything".
Democrats are not "against" voter ID. That's almost as ignorant as saying Democrats are "pro-abortion".
No, I have never wondered why.

I don't need an ID to purchase alcohol or cigarettes.
I don't need an ID to go to a casino.
I don't need an ID to get my prescription meds.
I don't need an ID to buy M rated video games.
I don't need an ID to go to R rated movies.
I don't need an ID to enter state or federal buildings.

In many cities and states voters DO need to show ID to vote.

You feel showing ID assures a "secure" election.

Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of fake IDs and feel no one has ever used one. :?
Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of voter manipulation and intimidation. :?
Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of people "paid off" to vote. :?
Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of people on social media tell lies/"disinformation" about candidates. :?
Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of crossover voting in primaries. :?
Let me guess, you have never seen or heard of electronic voting machines being faulty - or "misrecording" of votes. :?
I can go on and on but how does having to show an ID when you vote stop those things I listed from happening?

You and zsn are both right.

It is also highly relevant to this discussion that actual instances of voter fraud are so, so, so rare (and thus inconsequential) that legislatures and election administrators have judged that the harms from requiring voter ID outweigh the benefits.

Let me try this a different way: if assault rifles were NOT routinely used to kill scores of people, people who think like me would be less interested in restricting their availability.
