We've got Hardees and McDonald's workers.
Anyone work at BK or Wendys?

My service industry jobs were at Alvins IGA and Phillips 66.
Didn't have to make food per se -- but at Phillips 66 I did have to take frozen food and put it on the rollers and under the heat lamps. Changed out the soda bags. Refilled the coffee.

Never prepared food, but did work in service.

7th grade-9th grade was a bus boy in a restaurant owned by one of my friend's dad. I got $1.00 cash/hour on weekends and holidays and got to "meet" Burt Lancaster, and serve him and Gene Hackman who were filming "Gypsy Moths" outside of Wichita.

Burt to Feral: "More butter, boy."

8th grade thru high school summers and weekends manned the snack shop between the 9th green and 10th T on a public golf course in Wichita.

HS freshman an sophomore got $1.25/hour as a bus boy in a nightclub in Wichita. The waitresses didn't carry the food out, we did above our head with one hand on a large tray. It was an education.

After that I could drive and went to work at Dillons for $1.60/hour.

I once worked at the mall GNC for...three hours.

I bet you are lobstered out where you live. An embarrassment of riches...

When I moved to Flowrida 10 years ago I decided to try to have fish or seafood twice a week. It didn't last. I can't have it that often and like it.

Fish is too yellow to tell us why he got fired, in an eponymous thread?

I made it through one day of training. The store I was training at got very busy, and (having been trained already on the actual serving of ice cream and transacting payment for ice cream) I helped serve customers rather than participating in waffle cone making training. The Cold Stone bigwigs did not appreciate my effort.

I prob haven’t sung the praises of the Parshall Inn.

It’s one of those Sat Shack sorta gems; a little dive, as they put it, “between the middle of nowhere and not much else.”

Most of the clientele are ranchers, the occasional fishermen, folks who check it out just cuz I recommended it, and maybe some random tourists with the right combo of curiosity and hunger on y’all’s way to or from Steamboat Springs.

On weekends, the entertainment is usually this rancher’s daughter chick with her acoustic guitar, singing old outlaw country standards in her cowgirl hat and wrangler jeans.

Perhaps the best way to describe the place is through their snazzy marketing campaign, which is nothing more than posting a pic of the specials bored onto an Instagram page:

The best fish sandwich I am aware of is at Frenchy's in Clearwater Beach, FL.

I prefer the original cafe or saltwater location, but they are all good/similar.

Fried grouper sandwich w/ fries and stone crab appetizer (if in season).

I'm not a fish sandwich guy. Which is better - the whitefish or the perch sandwich?
More important question, how are their burgers?

I worked at a Sonic where OSHA never tread. One handle on the fry-o-later when trying to empty hot grease.
