There is obsession with WRs. But there will be possession guys out there. Plenty of defense left on the board too. Hype versus prep.

The OU tackle would be an ok consolation prize.

Wait.
The Giants traded up to the team just above them?

Weird the little trades in a shallow draft

Gutter?
Not happy but can't be mad. Got a need. Would have preferred Carter.
God blessed the Texans. Makes me wonder if the Bears could have somehow have gotten both Robinson and Carter. Would have preferred that over Moore and Wright (no matter who they get with the 1st round pick next season).

I will say this: KC is in everyone's heads. Four WRs in a row with some reaches. It has become keep-away.

Allen gets another weapon.

There are two guys left who’d be ok.
Otherwise can we trade down somehow?

Chiefs would have enjoyed depth. Denied. Frustrating, but good place to be.

The whole Chiefs draft board stolen this year.

Welp.
This first round sucks.
Guess that’s what happens when you’re the best in the league.

Trade down to 41 and let Titans have a backup plan to Carr with Levis. Move up higher in the 3rd. Get Mingo with 41.

Fine I guess.
Local guy.
Position of need.

The strip sacks are intriguing. Undervalued guy. And the Big 12 is no joke to get 19 sacks. I felt like some reaches were made today.

I saw Felix mocked to us a decent amount.
It's fine. We lost Frank Clark and he should be better than Clark.
I do think, though we have Reid and Cook, you consider Branch at that spot.

I will say this: I'm confident every team in the league has management that respects the Chiefs and many if not most probably feel they need to "catch up" to them to be be on the same level BUT.... I'm not saying this is/was exactly what you meant but no one drafted a WR in the first round for the sole reason that KC couldn't/wouldn't get the guy they drafted to use against them.
How's this? Rational or irrational, I believe some teams feel they have equal or superior offensive weapons than the Chiefs have.

Anyways, my worthless opinion of who had a great draft.
Falcons (Robinson) If (that's a big If) he pans out as projected (in regards to being a McCaffrey impact player) then how do you not love the pick? I was hoping he would have fallen to the Bears and they would have gotten him.
Texans (Stroud and Anderson) Got Two of the top 3 players at each position.
Eagles (Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith) Two guys that "fell" to them and I feel were steals at those draft positions.
Seahawks may have made a stretch taking Witherspoon with the 5th pick but getting both him and Smith-Njigba in the first round was a "great" draft for THEM.

P.S. I predict the Chiefs take a WR in the 3rd or 4th round that may not be a starter but will be a solid contributor at some point in/and time.

I have no ill will towards Will Levis so why does this make me smile?

Trying to figure out what she's saying. Either "I gotta pee" or "how much ________ ". As in how much money is he losing by not getting drafted yet and it sucks to be me?

The crazy thing is some "experts" think/thought Mingo might drop to the 3rd round.
I don't know enough about the available players but I figure there has to be a WR diamond in the rough that the Chiefs have their eyes on in the mid/late rounds.

I thought Mel Kiper's comment about Big 12 LTs was interesting.... he called Big 12 tackles "APG" meaning "another profession guys" AKA not NFL caliber opponents.

Branch more of a box safety and a nickle corner. Chiefs don't need a CB.

FAU is a perfectly fine pick. Probably the 4th best edge going into the draft and that's where he went. Plus, you have 2 younger EDGE guys on rookie deals with 5th year options available for both. That's not insignificant.
