Would have been cheaper for them, that's for sure. But Brown lost a lot of games that they were leading late and collapsed. What KU did on Saturday, Wichita State did at least 5 times this season. Including against Houston in Wichita.

They've lost A LOT to the portal though and that's their concern.
Council at Arkansas, Stevenson at West Va, Sherfield went from Wichita St to Nevada to OU, and some others. Too many to name for them. About to lose a handful too from this year's team too.

They had to get fresh blood in there.

All those dudes were Marshall's recruits. They probably could've given brown another year, it was kind of trigger happy move to go head and get rid of him

It looks like Scarecrow was not kept on staff by Pitino. The only thing that would be worse than being one of these nomadic D1 coaches, would be working on their staff. The kid was enjoying NYC, no idea where he ends up next. His last gig was in Sacramento for 2 years. Every time they move, they get rid of most of their stuff and start over again.
