Parallels to Marcus and Markieff?

Like, in legal trouble parallels?

“Texas freshman basketball player Arterio Morris, who was arrested on a Class A misdemeanor charge of assaulting his girlfriend last June, has had his looming court date postponed.”

Oh come on bro, it’s not like he shot someone from the window of Jayhawk towers with a BB gun

then picked a fight with the football team

then gang assaulted some dood who tried to hit on his mom.

In all seriousness tho, yea, that arrest and allegations are concerning

I assume Bill is confident the charges will be dropped or something to that effect.

Is this what Bill missed the tournament with? Sounds serious.

I wonder where he sits in the rotation…does this mean Elmarko projects as not nearly ready?

4 incoming Freshman guards, 2 incoming transfer guards, and Dajuan (plus Cuffe)...I'm betting McDowell or Johnson decommits.

Suddenly our backcourt is deep as fuck. With bodies at least. Most of which are unproven

On one hand I wouldn’t mind seeing what we got in Cuffe as a third year freshman.

But on the other, Self hitting the portal for guards might tell us all we need to know

So do we start a kind of small perimeter of dajuan, arterio, and timberlake?

Meh.

I liked when he came into the games last year because he made bad decisions and was worse than Carr and Hunter.

I don't remember an incoming Jayhawk that I have been less excited about.

If Cuffe is forced to transfer for this I am going to be upset

Get excited. This guy has an extra gear none of our guys have. The knock on dajuan is he doesn't have that "break you down" type quickness and shiftiness at the end of the shot clock. Arterio has it. His freshman year was a little up and down, it happens. But he has ELITE pg tools

He is a big addition.

Great.
This is randys new Yesufu.
Lemme guess, you compare him to Collin Sexton.

Lol. Slow down. I just don't understand the lack of excitement for this caliber of a recruit. If the Texas backcourt didn't have hunter and carr, two older studs, Morris puts up bigger numbers.

And every freshman guard at a big school has some degree of struggles. Hopefully he is through the worst of it.

I mean looking at his tools, this is a really good pick. 6'3 combo guard, lighting quick, explosive jumper, can create his own shot off the dribble, can catch and shoot

He's everything elmarko is, he just already has a year of d1 experience. Similar prospects.

I trust Self and the staff to mold him in the kind of player that makes KU better. They wouldn't have wanted him if that weren't the case. The way Texas looked this year he must have gotten some good foundational coaching as a freshman.

However things shake out, it would be nice to have some quality depth at guard next season as that was kind of a weakness this season.

I think I'll just wait and see how this plays out. I'm a little torn on this.

Either Elmarko or Arterio are gonna be unhappy campers come late December

I think it’ll be fine. We will play small a lot, and Timberlake will get Moss-type minutes.
