Judging it in some collegiate competition is not.
And even if we are talking about testing dirt, to say it's more interesting/exciting than watching former KU players play actual basketball, as old as the players are and as useless as the competition may be ( and I agree it is useless ), is close to bannable.

Scenario.
You can get 1000 bucks in cash.
To get the 1000 bucks in cash you have to stay in your home all day ( or until scenarios A or B are finished ) on a Saturday and either:

A. watch four games of Mass Street TBT
B. watch eight hours of soil judging
nobody said it was interesting or exciting. Just that it was more important.

Also, nobody said anything about it being a legitimate collegiate (or any level) competition.

I only said it was probably more important than tbt in the grand scheme of things.

If thats a bannable offense....have at it. I said it, I own it. Bring the hammer if you must.

To continue to overanalyze dirt and basketball - in a semi humorous manner....

Testing dirt is more important...... To who/m?
To basketball players trying to win a tournament and make some money? Probably not. Even if you put it ALL in perspective.
To the majority of citizens in the USA and the rest of the world? Probably if you put it all in perspective.

The purpose of the soil judging competitions at the collegiate level is not solely to win a contest. Or is it? I don't know. I'm not a soil judging contest fan.

To me, and my guess is most if not all on here, soil judging contests are not more interesting/exciting than watching former KU players play actual basketball - but to those that do find soil judging more interest - good for them.

Scenario.
Are the 4 games "regular season" and is the soil judging the national finals?
Do I have to actually pay attention and watch them in their entirety?
Are there commercials and if so, are they included in the 4 games and/or 8 hours?
If I have to take a shit does that count in the 8 hours or is that sort of a time out?
* I'd probably choose the TBT but if it's a nice day outside and it's a weekend - it would be close to torture to me. Just like the soil judging option.

Bonus.....

You can't convince me this is not more exciting.

Than this (Sorry - Doing a quick search I couldn't find a Mass Street game).....

Shouldn't matter but sure.

Do I have to actually pay attention and watch them in their entirety?

Yes. No device use during the games. If you got to do something else, you gotta do it during commercials.

Are there commercials and if so, are they included in the 4 games and/or 8 hours?

See above. So I don't know how long the halves are for a TBT game. 8 hours of soil judging includes the commercials.

If I have to take a shit does that count in the 8 hours or is that sort of a time out?

See above above. Do it during the commercials or half time.

* I'd probably choose the TBT but if it's a nice day outside and it's a weekend - it would be close to torture to me. Just like the soil judging option.
