Meet another poster in real life.

Years ago on the Journal World KUSports site I put out an open invitation to anyone who wanted to meet.
I had never met anyone from there, it was a social experiment. What happens when you lose anonymity?

Location: A bar downtown in KCMO to watch the KU vs OSU game and I would buy the beer. Nobody knew me, but I told them what ball cap I would be wearing. My wife who was also a poster asked, "Are you nuts? There are people on there who genuinely hate you!". Maybe, but seriously, what KU fan is going to miss a Saturday afternoon game to go downtown and get in a fight?

The only poster who showed was RMan, never one to pass up a free beer. We are polar opposites but we became friends.

In the ensuing years I met Not a Puke, PalJayhawk, Unburnt Orange, SFBay, Copperhead, Newtongirl, Defix, Leawood, iowaboy, KellyFenton, Minhin, Geezer, Jayhawklaw, Chickenbutt, Shirley and Virgil from the old board. And now Oussie and Overlander from this group. I have watched basketball with them live, in bars on TV and at my home. It has always been fun in spite of our differences.
