I always think of "Welcome to the Machine" hearing his name. RIP

I had the privilege of meeting Lew several times during his tenure at UConn.
I have no knowledge of what happened to cause him to retire from KU but I will always remember him as a good guy.

Say what you will about Lew Perkins but the man did a lot of good things for the University of Kansas and during his tenure KU's sports teams had some very successful seasons.

Same words I shared yesterday with a former KU Basketball player (who played for Larry Brown) and I think I have already shared on here - but will share again.....

2006 Auburn Hills...... Lew and I waiting for an elevator at the team hotel after the game. We just look at each other and shake our heads. Lew says to me - "It's a cruel tournament". Hard not to agree but my guess is he wasn't thinking that way in 2008 in San Antonio. 😉

May he Rest In Peace.

yea...I had told Feral sometime before about a superintendent I had that for some reason couldn't get it through his head that it was a vestibule, so he repeatedly (and not as a joke) pronounced it as vegetable.
