I thought the OSU game would haunt me from here on out...this takes that place.

Agreed.
Me too. Offense started shaky but seemed to start clicking until he got hit. Which was an incredibly gutsy run, and evidence of why he wasn’t running too much. But, as they say in the fütbol, Unlucky!

The coaching was such a mystery. Kept running inside. Too damn many QB draws first and goal. That second Timeout reminded me of a Mangino loss to Tech

Shit play-calling all the way around today.

I was fairly impressed with Ballard given the situation he was thrown it.

I refuse to feel disappointed in a 7-3 season

I mean...they know that we barely lost today to a Big XII team, playing our 3rd string QB. And we're KU.

Right?

FFS.

You would think so.

LL should get a lifetime contract

I refuse to be disappointed in a 7 win season to be honest.

100% perspective. Not sure how you blame back up QB for a loss. However we feel like we should have won so we tend to blame someone.

former walk on 3rd string QB

The loss stung because it should not have happened. KU was better than its play calling and rally enabling timeout calls. Need to learn from this. It was nice to be in a game that was pretty badly handled. The QB play was good enough

Saturday’s loss stung, and it should. That’s part of expectations shifting towards positive results.

If you didn’t feel some sting after the loss Saturday, that seems off.

Also, someone saying they are disappointed in a loss with the next post being ‘I refuse to be disappointed in a 7-3 season’ aren’t even arguing the same thing and makes zero sense, and is irrelevant to the first comment.

I doubt anyone holds any disappointment in the progress made this season, or the season in general.

I am bummed they lost as it was one that they could have won. Texas Tech is not very good and KU played flat even when Bean was out there. The offense has to perform better than that. If you have a great run game, you should be able to better dominate a weaker opponent.

I am very disappointed in the loss but not the season overall. They are two different things. KU did not play well at all and lost to an inferior opponent. They are no longer in a situation where they should be dropping games like that.

I dunno, twocoach. The team gave up 16 in total to a big 12 opponent, and minus so weird play calling/time management decisions, shoulda coulda woulda been up at the end of the game, with a dude at QB who was no doubt sped up out of his mind, at least to start his day.

To quote DC, "FFS".
3rd string quarterback with no reps and we were 3 yards away from going on top with less than a minute in the game.
That is a literal situation where you could see why a team would drop a game.
