Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I had to do a full reinstall -- our server peeps f'd something up.
I may have lost some things in the process.

The media plugin MAY have been one of the issues for slowdown.
I don't have time this week to investigate/re-embed that.
I'll look into getting that plugin back in the future.

I've got to jump back on regular work and then i'm out of town this weekend.
Fingers crossed the reinstall did something.
I'm nervous to have our host staff do anything at all.

I was hoping someone had spiked my Gatorade and I was in for an interesting few hours.
Bummer.

Yet again I will say to pdub, Thanks for the effort you put in to this place - and being the leader of the Crimson.com day care center.

I've pushed all the styles I had coded back up.
I think it still looks a touch off but it's pretty close.
It might be the way the newer code base created the content.

Paging randy.....
Can you find someone on Instagram or Twitter that you have never heard of that can brainwash all of us in to some conspiracy on why after pdub had his fundraiser the site has become broken?

I'm joking pdub. I'm just joking! I know, not funny. Most of my weak attempts at humor aren't funny.

There's a good explanation.
Our re-up for hosting triggered an automatic shift to PHP 8.1.
I think that might be what's causing the issues and why I did a full reinstall yesterday.

I also think the media plugin might be buggy. Let's see how this weekend goes.

It seems better this morning again after a period of time yesterday afternoon when I couldn't get the site to do anything.

Glad you feel like you're getting a handle on it.

Appreciate your efforts.

We might need to switch hosts.
I’ll threaten/investigate next week.

Within the last couple of days, when I click on a link in a post here it opens, but not in a new tab.

Is anyone else suddenly having that problem too? And if so, is it the "bug"?

It's not you, it's me.

I'm getting that as well. Seems to have started the same time as tweeter stuff showing up as links rather than graphics.

FYI:

After shutting my computer down last night I wished I had let pdub know that the site had been working much better yesterday.

This morning it sometimes takes 4-5 tries to change screens after it times out over and over.

Obviously I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason but it's been very bad for me this morning.

Interesting. Mobile works fine for me. Laptop doesn’t work at all. Same wifi.
