I didn't like Baker in college.

He has humbled himself in the NFL as the years have gone on. I like him now.

Humble may not be the word I use but I have enjoyed watching hum win a playoff game after Cleveland threw him away for Scumbag Deshaun Watson while Cleveland was getting obliterated. Funny that they probably could have just kept Mayfield and used all those draft picks to better the team around him and they would have been better off.

The KU game antics made me dislike him. But I also thought our players not shaking his hand wasn't a good look.

hurts made some truly head-scratching decisions for a guy that gets paid what he does
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

After seeing his finger kinked, I am surprised he could throw at all.

I’m guessing if you’re interviewing a NFL coach you have to be on the sports beat at some level right?

I don’t see how you can ask that question.

You can also consider what he did to Avila (intentional or not).

I think the NFL needs to adjust tackling penalties to be more lenient when it comes to the upper body so that defenders don't opt in for as many lower body tackles.

You'd rather a concussion than a torn ACL.

There lies the problem. NFL is trying to cut down on both. Obviously neither is a good choice but crazy me seems to think players would prefer a concussion (brain injury) over a blown out knee.
To use a baseball analogy, there basically is a strike zone. Problem is tacklers throw and will continue to throw balls. Intentionally and not intentionally.

short term maybe. Long term, don't think so.

Problem with concussions is how cumulative the injuries become. Not too mention how many near concussions or undiagnosed concussions occur, also causing damage.

I'd rather have one concussion over one torn ACL.
In fact, i've had a concussion, and have torn my achilles.
Give me the concussion all day.

But you're right, it's concussion after concussion that becomes a long term issue.

One newsperson I saw basically responded with a "this is what happens when you cut staff, including the entire sports desk, and have to send a general news reporter to cover a sporting event and they know nothing about the sport/situation they have been sent to cover".

I've had probably a dozen concussions in my lifetime. There's no fixing those. Give me an injury that you can fix surgically all day.

If you ask an NFL player though they'll all say, give me the concussion.

I agree.
Mainly because typically they come back sooner from a concussion than a major knee injury.
I'm wondering if you asked them if they had to choose between a career ending knee injury and a career ending concussion - which they would choose.
