2 things about GTS

1. If you picked against KU in a contest that doesn't matter, you suck.

2. How did I get jumped by a guy that picked Kansas to win? didn't we both get a score of 100?

Do any of the games really matter until the tournament? I mean, it's a given KU is going to make it there, at least, right?

I didn't pick against KU vs. Marquette, btw. But I did today. So, I suck today. I'm alright with that.

Tribalism in sports also sucks.

what?

Tribalism is the damn point of sports.

It's the area of the world where it's totally expected, normal, and harmless.

all the games matter to some extent...I meant GTS doesn't matter, there's nothing at stake for any of us.

and yes, you suck for picking Tennessee. Glad you were wrong.

also doesn't answer #2

I am also glad I was wrong.

Tribalism is mostly harmless in sports as far as the real world goes, I agree.

But it's so dumb, in many cases, when it prevents people who could have a great conversation about a sport they enjoy not be able to because one (or both) of them can't stand the other team.

My last big instance of this was at a Chiefs-Titans game where the Chiefs fans I was talking to were cool as hell until Tennessee was ahead and it seemed relatively bleak for KC. I told them I was uneasy and Mahomes and Kelce would probably do their thing (they did). The guys told me to shut the fuck up talking about another team while in Arrowhead (was completely fune up until halftime).

It's dumb in contexts like this. Then after game, when Chiefs won, I said good game to them, and they responded what the fuck ever, your team sucks. They did end up sucking, but at that point, we were 7-4, had just barely lost to KC at Camerohead with probably the worst QB in the league (Malik Willis), and in the hunt still for home field advantage.

Gotcha regarding GTS not mattering. I play it by my gut (it almost always says KU win, but not today) I was uncertain how we'd respond against another similar minded and style of play team in Tennessee. Again, glad I was wrong.

Rock Chalk.

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion around here but.....Chiefs fans....kinda aren't the best. They kind of are terrible a lot of the time. I say thay as a chiefs fan.

The ones at the stadium are the worst ( I mean...Missouri...).

Same could be said about most NFL stadiums. Most NFL stadiums have more than there fair share of white trash types who are spending insane amounts of money of tickets and beer but can't pay their mortgage on their double wide or their kids dentist bills.

I know that's a generalization, but it's not completely unfounded.

NFL fans in general are the trashiest of the major sports.

I’m seeing an issue ( I think ) with scoring not knocking enough points for missing games. I’ll fix next week.

Most of the Chiefs fans on this board and that I know in Lawrence are pretty OK. I mean, here, there are some that cry REFS suck every play, but that's just them.

And yes, it's a generalization, but Camerohead.

And I promise, PDub, I'm not even a veiled Chiefs hater. Too many of the people I care about or like root for them to actually wish them lose.

When I was married to a Broncos fan, it was harder to not root against Denver than it ever has against the Chiefs, and the Broncos, although not as prolific as the Chiefs current run, sustained mostly above average to elite teams for a long, long time.

Because I go through and see if anyone guessed after game time before I open guessing back up and I’m on vacation.

Game isn’t til next week.

Cowboys make list because they are Cowboys.

No East Coast team should surprise.

It would be hard for either coast to care enough to get most flyover teams on this list.

I used to live on the East Coast and went to several Eagles games. Chiefs fans are nothing compared to that band of out of control trash.
