Being a storied, elite football school, and growing up with that all around you, might be better than the same for basketball. We know there's more $$ in it, that's for sure. I just don't know -- i've only known bad football ( though i've been to football games at home stadiums where this is the case ).

But simply being a football school isn't automatically better than being a basketball school.
Not when your basketball program can be argued as the greatest of all time.

this conversation is premature. we have a long way to go before we are the kind of football school that is better than our kind of basketball school. long way to go.

The key is having competitive programs. Bad programs impact everything from media sales to suicide rates.
