Watching Scott Drew suck at UK would be epic.
Defense. Rebounds.

Seriously Who would be your first choice for a coach?

Most of the great ones are old but would Rick Pitino come in for 3/4 years? Could Shaka handle the UK job? Beard has a past would he be considered? Would Mark Pope be able to get the talent here?

(once again, Rupp Rafters a special kind of comedy)
I can't think of anyone who would be considered a home run hire by UK fans outside of swiping Self away from Kansas. Anyone who performs below the level that Self is at KU right now will be seen as an underperformer be ause UK fans cannot accept not being THE top program in the sport.

Coach Prime should be their top candidate. He would just need to hire some quality assistants.
Not funny thing is as good or bad as Calipari is, he is/was good enough have coached 6 teams to a Final Four and get himself in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
I am confident as good or bad as UK is right now, they have the ability to win the 2024 National Championship and have a better chance to do it than at least 87.5% of the other college basketball teams.

We lost to the no. 4 team.
Doesn’t really matter to me though.
KU no. 2.

If this was 24/25, It'd be safe to say the Big 16 is loaded.

too bad 16 teams is way too many, and we won't have home and away's with the good teams except by chance. I mean, we get K-State twice a year, so that eliminates one possibility there.

re: Buying secondary market tickets.

Gutter said earlier when talking about buying tickets from Seatgeek, Stubhub, etc., to not wait until the last minute. While I don't totally disagree with this, I have found on 3 purchases in the last month that this works to get tickets "instantly":

1. Go to KUAthletics.com
2. Find sport and single game ticket option
3. Click on Seatgeek ticket options and they will say 'instant delivery'.
4. Have been in my account within seconds each time.

I did have a problem with Stubhub once where I got nervous, so I know what Gutter was talking about, but this work around above has worked for me thus far with zero issues.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

On Saturday I will be attending a game between a current 4-4 team and a current 1-6 team. JUNK!
I not going because I wan't to see the teams play, I am going to see a guy who won Naismith college player of the year, won the national championship, won Final Four MOP, and was the #1 pick in the NBA draft. I wasn't sure if he is the only guy since 1988 to do it. I looked it up. He wasn't.
Here is the trivia question of the day/week/month/year. Who, if anyone, besides Danny Manning and Anthony Davis, have achieved that feat?

Since 88? Not sure. Patrick Ewing did it although not all in the same season as he won MOP his junior year and was Naismith winner and #1 pick after his senior season.

Carmelo Anthony? Not sure if he won CPOY in 2003

Melo would be my guess too...if Nick Collison hit some free throws, he wouldn't be a candidate.

Nova is struggling recently.
If they can't beat ksu tonight they'll be looking at 3 game loosing streak.

Melo wasn't the #1 overall pick, that was LeBron's draft nor did he win the Naismith (TJ Ford won in 03)

Elton Brand was close, getting drafted #1 overall and winning the Naismith but Duke lost in the Finals to UConn i 99 and losing MOP to Rip Hamilton.

One of the rare times I cheer for Nova in a game.

I couldn’t come up with Larry Johnson, but I was thinking of someone from that team or Grant Hill as other possibilities. I don’t think Hill was the first pick either.

Nope.
Johnson was never the MOP in the Final Four.
Also, I fucked up! I meant to say ALL IN THE SAME YEAR.

In my lifetime, it may include Alcindor in 69, Magic in 79, and Worthy in 82.
