Bonus if you can name the year.
Rush at 47% as a freshman is the highest I can think of without looking it up. Not sure how many he hit that year but probably 50

Rush did just make 50 his freshman year.
But someone bested that.

I remember NBA scouts were completely perplexed that Kirk didn't declare for the draft his Sophomore or Junior years.

He and Nick wanted to win a title.
They almost did.

That starting 5 the year they lost to Maryland in the Final Four was:

Aaron Miles
Jeff Boschee
Kirk Hinrich
Drew Gooden
Nick Collison

Bench:
Wayne Simien
Keith Langford
Michael Lee

Insane roster.

I remember KU going up like 15-2 and thinking we are gonna win this thing bc the other half of the bracket was trash.

2 tough outs in a row for those guys iirc. Maryland and then Syracuse. That Maryland team was so good with Blake Dixon and Baxter (I am probably forgetting 1 other really good player from that team).

It is wildly interesting to see how actual players and coaches talk so highly of Dajuan Harris, specifically ones who have played/coached with or against him.....and then contrasting that with the opinions of the unknown basketball genius types of the messageboard world like Ousdahl when it comes to DH and how good or not good he is.

Teahan touches on it in that video. Pretty much every wing DH has played next to has flourished. Ochai, Braun, Jalen, Gradey, and now Furphy and Kevin.....he's helped all of them flourish. He makes the players around him better. It's just an undeniable fact at this point. And yes, he has weaknesses, but so does every other college player that is in college for multiple years because they aren't NBA prospects.

Player after player. Coach after coach. They can't all be wrong.

Dajuan is a really good point guard. He just doesn't have nba level physical tools. But yes, players LOVE playing with unselfish pass first guys like dajuan. Dajuan would rather get an assist than a bucket. Sometimes that frustrates fans, when KU needs a bucket, and the lead guard at KU isn't that guy, but teammates love him
