less shitty than worrying about your players being recruited while youre trying to keep them focused for a final 4?

how do you even coach in this world? can't yell too much, or have to difficult of practices, or discipline.....always the risk of taking their ball and running. what an effin joke
It's the soft sensitive world we live in. There's a reason a lot of prominent ncaa coaches left the game. And have gone on rants about NIL destroying the sanctity of the game. Jay Wright and nick Saban are good examples
What did Saban have to complain about? He got whoever he wanted. Already had a team full of pros.
he was pissed that the field was leveling a bit
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

He was bitching about how the only thing that matters to these kids now is how much you can pay them

Developing them as both athletes and men became irrelevant

good coaches want to coach. We've been over this, and it's well documented now, but Saban has said the game became less about coaching and the kids didn't want to know what to work on in the offseason they only were concerned about how much NIL money they were gonna get

Pettiford will have to sit out a year then? Or does nothing matter anymore

Not sure what Marcus adams situation is since he flaked out repeatedly before his freshman basketball season even opened

He played 1 game at BYU it looks like. So it wasn't a total sit out.

Maybe Adams can get a medical redshirt

But this KU to Gonzaga to BYU to…where next?

doesn’t seem like the best trajectory either way

I remember that one time when we had to worry about our coach being recruited by another school while we were trying to keep him focused for a Final 4.

The crazy thing is KU might have been his best chance at playing time freshman season

Five-star forward Liam McNeeley, who is ranked No. 15 overall on the 247Sports composite high school men's basketball class of 2024 list, revealed that he's spoken to Kentucky, UConn, Kansas, Houston and Michigan (among others) following his decommitment from Indiana.

McNeeley revealed the news to ESPN's Paul Biancardi.

"Moving forward, I have had contact with several schools, including Kentucky, UConn, Kansas, Houston and many others," McNeeley said. "New Michigan head coach Dusty May said I was his first recruiting call. That was special."
