I'm waiting for something really crazy to happen like a player like Furphy says they're coming back and then a Duke type buys them for several million dollars and they use their free transfer.

That'll kill it for me.

Furphy is in a NIL gray area, but were I spending money on NIL, I’d negotiate contractual mechanisms that protect me from a guy leaving for another school.

I'm not sure you can? NIL can't technically be tied to participating at a certain school from what I understand.

If I'm spending that sort of money, I'm figuring it out. Lots of ways to skin that cat that aren't "you only get this if you're playing for Kansas".

My guess is....
He stays at USC or he is "transferring" to the NBA.
Or, watch some team in China pay him 50 million to come play 20 games.
Or, watch him go to Kentucky or Duke.
If he stays in college, I fully expect him to have a decent season. At least better than a 4.8 ppg on 36.6% shooting season.

He's not coming to Kansas but I wouldn't be upset if he did. I wouldn't necessarily be happy either - but I wouldn't be upset. Fantasyland me would like to see LeBron arrange a 50 million+ a year LeBron "brand" Nike contract with KU to lure KU to sign Bronny.
Which brings me to Shedeur Sanders. Every time I try to like the kid and blame his father and the NCAA and not him for who and what he has become, something like this happens...
