What?

Oh yeah, you have to be the contrarian to every point made.
Or, I gave it some thought and he's not top 10 this millenia....

In no order off the top of my head coaches that I think are better than Mark Few this millenia....

Self (15th all time in wins)
Roy (5th all time in wins)
K (1st all time in wins)
Wright (2 nattys)
Donovan (2 nattys)
Calipari (14th all time in wins)
Izzo (38th all time in wins, 1 natty)
Calhoun (4th all time in wins)
Pitino (35th all time in wins)
Lute Olson (17th all time in wins)
Boeheim (2nd all time in wins, 1 natty)

Then you get into the group with Rick Barnes (18th all time in wins) , Kelvin Sampson (27th all time in wins), Lon Kruger, bob huggins....

I'm not sure he's even top 15 now that I start looking....
He said "a program that Mark Few made one of the best in the country this millennium" not "Mark Few is one of the best coaches this millennia". Once again, you created a new point and are now arguing against it. It is unquestionable that Gonzaga is one of the best programs in the country since 2000.

He also said...."Self is a great coach too. Probably better than Few."

Probably, huh? And it doesn't matter if gutter said he's a top 10 coach this millenia or not, I said he isn't and I stand by it. Sorry. I provided a pretty indepth list of guys who have coached during this millenia.

He tops my mid major list though.

Mark few has been in 9 straight sweet 16s, which is absurd. He turned fucking Gonzaga of all places into a perennial contender. Why are people trying to talk like he's meh

Is he better than Scott Drew?

😜

I'm talking shit about him because they just beat us and also because I don't like Gonzaga.

Gonzaga in a crap league is able to pretty much play for post-season. Not a bad strategy looking at the phalanx of tough games in the Big 12 this year. Have to be really deep to escape alive. This team was buried alive.

Now we have a worthwhile discussion... who's better... Scott drew or Mark few?

The Big 12 wasn't as good as it has been this year. This year, KU didn't have a single time where they played back to back games against ranked Big 12 teams in conference play. 2020 was the only other season since 2013 where that happened.

KU just didn't have enough good shooters, or for that matter, enough good players this year to overcome the McCullar injury.

It was the worst season I’ve seen in 36 years if I recall correctly, and for a lot of reasons.

It probably was, which means we are living right. They'll be better next year. Should be a fun offseason. Feels like the NFL offseason any more.

Then you went on to argue something I didn't say, but regardless, I'll appease you and engage in some debate/banter.

I'm laughing that you list all time wins when Few probably has a better win% than ALL of the guys on your list. I know, I know, Gonzaga doesn't play anybody. :?
Some of the guys you listed you added "ALL time" wins. Many of those wins weren't this "millenia". Right?
Few has more wins in less years coaching than Izzo has. So why mention Izzo "all time" wins to support your thinking Izzo is a better coach?

Over 400 D1 coaches this "millenia".
YOU said, "I'm not sure he's even top 15 now that I start looking".
Ok, let's say he's not top 15.
If Few is top 20 that makes him top 5%. Top 5% isn't among the best to you?

43-23 in the tournament.
13 Sweet 16s.
5 Elite 8s.
2 Final Fours.
That's not bad. Not bad at all.

(And yes, I misread what you said originally, I apologize...but I only responded because you said Self is "probably better" than Few which is ridiculous, not even comparable, they're in totally different weight classes when it comes to coaching.)

Two questions I am sincerely interested in reading your responses to.
1. Why do you feel Few is a douche bag?
2. I intentionally use words such as I think, I feel, I believe, and probably, because it's my opinion of things I (capital I) can't prove as being factual. I happen to THINK/FEEL/BELIEVE Self is a better coach than Few but I am not 100% sure of it.
I respectfully disagree that "they are in totally different weight classes when it comes to coaching".
There are a lot of facets of being a college coach. I happen to THINK/FEEL/BELIEVE when everything is all said and done in regards to ALL the facets, Self is the better coach but I don't THINK/FEEL/BELIEVE they are "in a totally different weight class".
We can toss out yesterday because KU wasn't playing at full strength but let's talk about 2020.
Few had an outstanding team. Timme, Suggs, Kispert, were great college players. Nembhard was pretty good too. Self had a pretty damn good roster too. Few's team won. So..... Looking at ALL things considered INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO that head to head matchup, I am curious, what makes you think Self and Few are in a totally different weight class when it comes to coaching?

1. Too many to list, but a good starting point is his DUI video.

2. I "know" Self and Few are in different weight classes. There isn't much thinking needed to determine that. Self is in the elite of elite weight class when it comes to college coaching. Few is not. Few coaches at a mid major. Few has won zero national titles.

There are only 6 people with more national titles than Bill Self.

They aren't in the same weight class.

Few is in the Scott Drew weight class. They are much more comparable.
