it's interesting for sure. chris beard beat the $#!t out of his old lady less than 2 years ago. and he is being mentioned as the frontrunner for the ark job. administrators and fans mostly only care about wins and losses. they can forgive and forget pretty quickly if you are winning.

some of our local malcontents were lusting after that piece of junk.

One schools woman beater is another schools front runner for the job. Not surprising. People get 2nd chances when they are good at something

It was tough, but I powered through it.

The pizza was really good, that helped.

You don't think Gradey Dick got better at basketball at KU during his 1 year? I do. Johnny Furphy? I do. Coaches can impact a players development in 1 year.

Do I think Calipari should get all or most of the credit for a player being awesome? No, of course not. The players deserve the credit.

The fact is, it's impossible to look at the roster of former Calipari players doing awesome in the NBA and not see it as a positive for potential recruits.
Does it matter?

Despite top recruits, he has won only one NCAA tournament game this decade. One. I'm surprised he still has a job, I would be livid if I was a Kentucky fan.

You're right, it doesn't matter. At least not when it comes to winning championships.

But Kentucky can't get anyone better. If they could, he'd be gone.

That was quick....

Although if that means Brea and Griffen then it's probably a net gain for us.

I assume he looked at the recent (and potential future) portal commits and realized he wasn't gonna get the PT he originally thought he would.

Some KU "insiders" have been hearing rumblings of it for the last day or so...it's not a definite thing, but they said it's being discussed and that both parties are feeling like maybe Kugel would be better served elsewhere.

It makes sense.....I think it may be "insiders" guessing based on projected playing time and not actual rumblings from the families/players.

Also, there is some talk that Kugel may have gotten himself in some academic trouble at Florida which might make the transfer to any school a little more difficult than previously known.
