Post by pdub »

We are number 3!

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... -25-season

5 B12 teams in the top 10.

MGM has us tied with Duke for odds to win next year.

Hard to blame them. He's got to be at or near the top of everyone's wish list. He's a top 2 or 3 coach in CBB (at worst).

i would be very surprised if he walked away from what he has going on at uconn.

he is about to take full control of college basketball. if he hasn't already.

he is the man.

I would also be surprised.
I don't think going to Kentucky will actually help him keep winning -- it would more likely deter him at this point.
All about the money now. And he's making 5 million a year so I think he's good.

Also:

"Oh my God, Kentucky or anywhere that's going to take her further from New Jersey," [Hurley] said when asked about her reaction to a potential move. "I mean, we just went to Rhode Island, which I had to drag her to, and then to Connecticut. I got her closer. And now further? I can't afford a divorce right now, too. I just started making money."

Sounds like all the charges against Arterio Morris are going to be dropped.

The moral of the story is that charges being dropped does not mean a person is innocent.

I think there are multiple possible morals to the story.
One moral could potentially be innocent until proven guilty - and yet someone/some people at KU decided there was enough evidence (or hearsay?) to dismiss him from the team.
Ok, now what if any legal action can Morris take against KU? Maybe I'm thinking outside the box but Terrance Shannon comes to mind.

it is a privilege to play for KU or any other program. such privileges also often come with behavioral expectations, which are not always black and white when it comes to legality. i think arterio, as well as shannon, have opened the door to reasonable questions about their characters. i don’t agree that a university athletic team should be forced to play (or even keep on the team) a person whose behavior and character don’t meet expectations

Yep. By a Federal Judge. And I feel it opened up a big can of worms going forward.
I have very mixed feelings about both Shannon and Morris and how their situations were decided and handled.
