Also, tons of reviews down the stretch of the knicks/pacers game. Definitely a little annoying to deal with the stoppages, but several bad calls were overturned. I'd rather it take a little longer and not have bad calls by the refs deciding the game.

Pacers down 1, 12 seconds left, with the ball, refs call like the most ticky tack flop of a screen…gross

Murray suspension incoming?
Dude's kinda been a bitch.
Never really liked the guy since his bow and arrow signature at Kentucky.

it just seems like shit much worse than that goes uncalled for the first 47 minutes and 48 seconds of every game.

Then in the last 12 seconds, when the game may be effectively decided by that whistle, we get that whistle.

It's always easy to be likeable/classy when you're winning. The real character of people comes out during times of adversity.

Do you watch enough NBA to really know? Not being rude, just curious.

In my opinion, having watched most the playoffs so far, that the refs have been doing a really good job.

Impossible to get it 100% as a ref. But you can clearly tell they've got the good refs for the playoffs.

Looked bad in real time. He sold it well. But he definitely wasn't set, regardless of the flop/selling.

If I'm an official I don't call that but I understand why it was called.
I also think a borderline call like that, on review, should be able to be countered/reversed with a clear flop, which that was.

I admittedly don’t watch a ton. But more this time of year, with the playoffs. I’ll at least have it on in the background.

But, yea, generally I think in any given game there are plenty of more/worse contact plays that end up no-calls, more so than that screen at the end of Knicks/Pacers

He technically did it, but who makes that call with 12 seconds left? Lol

Not as bad as the "kicked ball" when it was tied just under a minute. When the Pacers had a clean steal and probably a fast break layup

I didn't care one bit who won, so can unbiasedly say the Pacers kind of got screwed at the end

Fwiw, I think they probably wanted to overturn it because it was a flop, but couldn't because he clearly wasn't set.

That one was a miss for sure. The ref who called it was semi-blocked. I think it was also the ref who made the call that got overturned a few plays earlier.

I was unaware you couldn't challenge a kicked ball, maybe you can, but iirc the announcers said something about not being able to challenge it. Not sure if it's due to the play or due to them being out of challenges at that point?

Can they just call both?

Like yea his feet weren’t set but either way boy did you flop

Isn’t that like a potential technical now?

This is a big series for Boston. Not necessarily that the Cavs will challenge them, but it'd be big to win in 4 or 5 games and get a few extra days rest before conference finals. Sure seems like Pacers/Knicks will go 6 or 7 based on game 1.
