I'm torn.
I want the Celtics in the Finals.
But I also want to see an epic game 7 Celtics win v the Bucks.

I will never "bet" on Doc.
Assuming both teams stay healthy, I fully expect a Celtics/Nuggets Finals.

I feel you. Nba is weird for me. I definitely have teams I root for, but I don't root for them to blow people out like I do KU or the Chiefs. I want to see great games and high level basketball.

If there is no geographic or KU tie, then I mostly cheer for players rather than teams in a sense. The teams I like can change over time.

I liked Larry Bird as a kid even though his career was over. And then Pierce got drafted by the Celtics and that locked me in. I’d try and see the Celtics play once a year when living in NY.

Now I live up in the area so it’s full Celtics for me.

Bird was always one of my heroes. Such an underrated player by most people.

I haven't seen that many white guys on an NBA basketball court at the same time since I attended a Bob Cousy clinic at the YMCA in downtown Wichita a year or two ago or three years ago.

Nice play, Svi!

The guy who lobbed it to Svi was a starter for the Final Four Oregon team that beat him ( and the Jayhawks ) in Kansas City.

Somehow Philly choked that one away.

"Somehow" = Players on the floor being completely lost. Nick Nurse played a partial role in that.

Yea.

That inbound was ugly how the OOB dood just kinda casually plopped it to the in-bounds dood in traffic.

Then, 6 seconds left, and the best play they got is an Embiid guarded 30 footer

In other action....
Lakers came out looking like a team on a mission.
Sorry kids but I will take a 100 year old LeBron and a glass AD over Murray and Jokic 365 days a year.
DRuss may end up being the difference in this series. Bad Game 1 = L. On fire game 2 (so far) may = W.

Jamal Murray calls game.

Bron, AD, Russell 31-44, 81.
Rest of the team 7-23, 18.

Lakers L.
Nuggs showed their championship mettle. Came back from down 20.
Murray with the game winner at the buzzer.

Braun outscored the entire Lakers bench (10-6) and had a nice block on LeBron.

LeBron rightfully pissed off after the game. NBA officiating and the replay center are a bad joke.
i.e. This was NOT called (a foul).

76ers/Knicks game was poorly officiated. Game 1 too. Sixers are going to formally file a grievance with the league.

In a 2 point game with a minute left LeBron was called for a “foul” vs Murray that was absolute trash.

I bet he was upset about that one.*

*nope it was the one gutter showed

"D-Lo clearly gets hit in the face on a drive," James said. "What the f--- do we have a replay center for if it's going to go [like that]? It doesn't make sense to me."

I admit I'm rooting for the Nuggets and I am rooting for the 6ers. Regardless of who I want to win the game/s, I HATE watching games for 2 plus hours only to have the refs determine or at least have a major bearing on the outcome of the game/s - in a negative way.
Happened twice yesterday.

they should have robots and computers officiate the games. and have every play under review. get it 100% right. 100% of the time.

lol, I feel asleep but saw gutter’s comment about 100yo bron and thought maybe he was speaking too soon.

Coincidentally, a buddy texted me like how are the lakers not better? And I responded cuz bron is old and AD is rickety and they’re top heavy but no depth.

I find it slightly less difficult to like Lebron as he gets older and older. But guess I’ve otherwise always been in the love to hate Lebron camp. So to see yet another roster he hand-picked flame out it’s like lol

Hard to build teams the way the Lakers chose to around LeBron.

Nuggets have multiple starters and rotation players that they drafted.

AD and LeBron are amazing....but it's 5 on 5, and they've got no chance against the Nuggets.
