Re: Christian Braun
Reading between the lines here, this sounds a little bit like "First Round or Senior Season." I don't see him struggling at the combine the way Och did, though.

Re: Christian Braun
His rebounding skill is why I would draft him--pretty confident in his shooting too.

Re: Christian Braun
honestly hes a good fit to be an off guard in the league. has all the tools. Im betting he goes late 1st round this season and extended NBA career as a role player
Re: Christian Braun
If he had a quicker release on his jump shot he'd be taken at the end of the lottery.
Re: Christian Braun
Jalen must have some pretty amazing instincts then

Re: Christian Braun
I had two friends tell me this weekend that not only was Jalen our best player in the tournament, that Jalen would be the best NBA player of this bunch.
I have been very bad at predicting this stuff before, but I vehemently disagreed.

Re: Christian Braun
That's silly. I have been watching the playoffs. Can't find anyone who I view as very similar to Jalen.
Re: Christian Braun
I could of course be wrong, but I would imagine that if Jalen had a leap to make physically, it would have happened by now. So, there's a path for your friends to be correct, BUT it involves a guy who is a <30% 3pt shooter in college being >40% in the NBA. Seems unlikely!CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 12:01 pm I had two friends tell me this weekend that not only was Jalen our best player in the tournament, that Jalen would be the best NBA player of this bunch.

Re: Christian Braun
That seems a lot more likely that the other paths for Jalen to be an impact player at the NBA level. I would invest more in a guy who just has to improve his shot than, say, get more athletic. The league is full of guys who shot the 3 better in the NBA than in college. Brook Lopez didn't start shooting 3s until like 4 years ago. PJ Tucker attempted four 3s his entire career at Texas. Alec Burks, Grant Williams, even Wiggins to name a few more off the top of my head.
Re: Christian Braun
Well Jalen probably needs to get more athletic and stronger too. Especially if he is going to be a small 4.
Re: Christian Braun
I think Jalen could come back, show the scouts he is a better three point shooter than what happened this year, because he is, and get drafted early 2nd next year after he is 1st team B12 and fucks around with a couple AA teams.
Re: Christian Braun
Wilson should stay in college and make as much NIL money as he can for as long as he can.

Re: Christian Braun
So is CB the best/most impactful State of Kansas player on a title team here?
I don't think Danny counts.
