Great! I go to Basketball games to watch basketball games. I'm trying really hard to like the Lakers and while somewhat entertaining, the clowning probably isn't going to help me.
"Showtime" should be on the court during game action. They seem to want to play the role of villains. It will be interesting to see if their cockiness is either going to help propel them to great things or if it's going to help doom them - or maybe my guess is it ends up being in-between. Would be fun to see a Lakers/Warriors Western Final.

Yes, I know it's only pre-season and Bron didn't play last night but I see they lost the game.
Hey - at least they had fun doing it.

Svi shot 50% last night. 1-2 fg, 0-1 3pt (he's now 2-10 in the pre-season), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover in 10 minutes.

I think Lance Stephenson is going to have a really good year with the lakers. He fits perfectly with rondo and LeBron...as silly as he acts at times, he is the exact type of player that you would want next to lebron in a potential late season match up with the warriors....obviously warriors and Houston are the favorites, but I expect the Lakers to give them a run for their money, especially if they end up with AD halfway thru the season somehow.

Games yesterday/last night/today? (6ers played in China)

Joel had 29 points (0-6 shooting 3s) 7 rebounds in 29 minutes and a team worst -16. As I like to say, +/- is a nice little stat but it sure as shit doesn't tell the whole story in terms of the impact a guy has on the game.

DGraham had 8 points in 8 minutes - Hey pwhitt, what would that make his per 40, 42, and 48?

Preston (does he count as a former Jayhawk?) had 1 rebound, 1 turnover, 2 fouls, 0 points in 3 minutes.

OubsJr. had 13 points, 3 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Queff Morris did not play.

Sounds like it's a legit possibility than Frank Mason will be in the starting lineup to begin the season. Alongside Fox.

In other (delayed) news, Malik was cut by the Heat.

The Chicago Bulls have reportedly agreed to trade Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick (Justin Patton) in the NBA draft to the Timberwolves in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and the No. 7 pick (Lauri Markkanen).

Same old wolves.

Some epic comments if you care to scroll through them.
I will say one thing, looks like his days with Adidas are either over or numbered.

Check out who is #2 https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/201 ... -nba-draft
Meanwhile, if the pre-season means anything, unfortunately I might have to give him a most overrated of the draft vote. Kid can't hit 3s and that's pretty much what will keep him off the floor (and out of the of the NBA?) if he isn't successful.

Last night - I may be missing a guy or 3.

Svi played 14 minutes. 1-4fg, 0-2 3pt, 4 points
JoshJax - 28 minutes. 13 points, team worst -19
TRob - DNP
Cheick - 19 min. 0 points, 8 boards
OubsJr. - 20 min. 2 points, 1-6fg
Kieff - 26 min. 15 points 7 rebounds
Selden got the start. 24 minutes. 4 points on 2-8 shooting.

Jimmy Butler needs to realize that not everyone has his same mentality. You can't rip a locker room apart because some people are motivated by money and don't really give a shit whether they get 4th in the conference or 8th. They've got 0% chance at a title due to the makeup of the top of the league filled with powerhouse super teams

I do find it hilarious that he reportedly subbed in with the 3rd stringers and beat the starters.

jimmy butler is an asshole. a jerk. going about shit the wrong way. but hes right. andrew wiggins and karl anthony towns are ridiculously talented. more talented than jimmy butler and butler knows that. minnesota has enough talent to be a problem for any team in the league. but they havent come close to living up to that.

thats not all on wiggins and towns tho.
the pieces might not fit that well (wiggs are butler are similar players. neither is a great spot up shooter)
but tibbs doesnt have a fucking clue how to use the pieces he has to maximize their production

I love what Butler is doing here. Leading by example didn't seem to work so now he's going a different route.
