Re: KU Self All-First Team

He wouldn't make it if the criteria is post-season awards, but everyone offering up Arthur at 4 is a genius and deserves to have that acknowledged.

Re: 2022-2023 Lineup

If CB and JW leave, I want Self to bring in that Iowa State guard (I've got no idea if we even have interest) to play next to Harris. Fill in the rest with Rice, Dick, and whoever wins out at the 5 -- but I wouldn't count out the freshman. I don't know if that team gets a 1 seed, but they'd be fun....

Re: Transfer portal 2022

Exactly that. Its fine. Theyll explain basketball to us and say we dont get it. Just because they wont want to admit you can play with two bigs. But if Clemence and KJ are starting, we are playing two bigs. https://m.kusports.com/news/2022/jan/13/ku-freshman-kj-adams-impresses-first-start-jayhawk/?...

Re: Transfer portal 2022

And conversely I think KJ can guard all 5 spots on switches. Which is such a luxury to have in late shot clock/game clock situations. It is, but then you're breaking FISH'S FIRST COMMANDMENT (Thou shalt not have more than one offensive ZERO on the floor at any given time). I think KJ has more offen...

Re: NBA Playoffs

I would consider blowing the Jazz up. I don't see them ever coming out of the west. Same. Donovan Mitchell had serious buzz a few years ago, but now with all the young talented guards he's not even top 5 or so in my eyes. Mitchell might not be in my list of Top 10 NBA guards age 25 or younger. If h...

Re: 2022-2023 Lineup

I don't know how good the offense would be, especially with Harris and KJ starting at the other 2 spots, but CB-GD-JW on the wings would give opposing teams some trouble on defense.

Re: 2022-2023 Lineup

The agency he's with is NCAA certified so he's able to maintain his eligibility. He also did some weird NFT Q&A thing and said that NIL is something players are considering when making a decision.

Re: Ramsey Nijem - Good Job

Stronger would be nice, but I'm more interested in him shooting threes the way he did against Nova. Might honestly be the single most important thing towards next season's chances, aside from the how the portal shakes out.

Re: Jay Wright Stepping Down

Good thread, boys. The only difference between MICH and pdub at this point is that pdub types more words.

I don't know that using Jim Beilein and Turg to support THAT argument will ever be topped. Just galaxy brain moron stuff.

Re: Jay Wright Stepping Down

Wright was a really great dude it seemed that ran a model program, so it seems time to bring up the Chalmers story. We laughed about that but I did always think that was a bullshit move by Chalmers, particularly telling Wright to sit his ass down. That’s mizzou-level trash from a player that could ...

Re: Jay Wright Stepping Down

I always liked Jay. Before he turned Nova into a borderline blue blood, I had hopes that he'd be the next KU coach if Bill ever left for the NBA.
