both iowa and sparty look like ass
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The Big 10 isn’t good this year. Prediction: 1 E8 team. 0 F4 teams.

Is that the same Iowa team that got a heavy beatdown by an Iowa State team that is near last in the Big 12?

Only Iowa in the Big10 I am aware of.

I think Illinois is a team who could win it all.

The Murrays at Iowa remind me exactly of the Graham's at Okie State. Same size, same skills, same hair, same thing where one brother is awesome and the other barely plays (though I think Stephen ended up having a longer NBA career somehow).

So TCU converts as alley oops against Texas. Kicker being Texas gets called for a foul on the pass. Febres slides under Miles, and rightfully gets called for the blocking foul. Whistle is blown before the TCU player even catches the lob. Can someone who knows the rule better than me explain how TCU gets 2 points and the ball?

B Rush is on CBS Sports Network right now as a CBB analyst. Good for him. Had no idea he was doing anything like that.

And he’s doing a pretty good job.

Brockington saved ISU from disaster. If not for Och, he’d easily win Big 12 POY.

I doubt there has ever been a BigXII player of the year that played for a team with a losing record in conference.

I was thinking Andre Emmett or James Anderson. Emmett never won it, and Anderson's team was 9-7.

Forgot about andre Emmett. That dude was a college stud that wasted away on bad tech teams. Also, he's dead. He got shot a few years back

Phil with a big W last night. With the next 4 opponents being Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, and Ohio State, I think going 2-2 and then Juwan winning a game or two in the Big 10 Tournament gets them in the NCAA Tournament. I'm wondering if Juwan was fired, would they promote Phil for next season or bring in someone else? I have to assume they would bring in someone else.

Sure Self had the same kind of crap when he took over here. Just before social media so a lot of it was hidden.

Really rough '05 season. Mad players, mad parents. Then Bucknell and Bradley happened.

Not sad about that at all. We know his shtick works well at a program just happy to not suck. We'll see if he can succeed brow beating the types of athletes he gets at Texas. Self certainly has had success being tough on players so I don't know where Beard falls on the "tough love" scale compared to Self.
