Conference opener wins.

This is super impressive. This includes home and away, and presumably, is a random assortment of teams.

That's basically like going undefeated through conference for more than 1.5 seasons.

We're 35-1 in conference openers dating back to 83-84.

Also, not loosing at home to OU since I was in middle school is super impressive, even though there were those years we didn't always play them at home.

A couple seasons back we played Baylor both openers ( home/away ).
We had a few close calls, one being @ Baylor with your boy Selden bailing us out, and another the OT game at home v ISU where Benny banked the 3.

The only part of these streaks I don't like is when ESPN shows those "what's on the line" graphics when we're behind in the second half of games. Those fuckers only bring up our streaks when they're in danger of being broken.

I was thinking that we lost our opener in 2006 b/c we started 1-2, but the Kansas State and mizzou losses were back to back after starting 1-0.

Thank god for starting at CU that year. We beat the absolute hell out of that program when they were in the league.

I'm pretty sure a big part of why Barnes got fired was that he couldn't beat KU, especially in his last couple years. Lucky for us, they replaced him with someone even easier to beat.

Drove down for that game. Wasn't really on message boards then and social media definitely wasn't what it is today. Didn't know about TRob's mom until the announcement before the game. Definitely a different type of atmosphere for that game.
