A lot of teams seem to be valuing IQ and skill over athleticism so far. Good sign for Dedric getting drafted.

What's with all the crying?

Biggest surprise so far is Chuma Okeke - who played a good part in our beatdown in the tournament.
Also big surprise is whatever the Suns did with trading down and picking Cameron Johnson.

I love the NBA offseason but their ignorant rules about proposed trades makes the NBA Draft coverage terrible. It's virtually impossible to figure out what damn team 3/4ths of these guys are going to be playing on next year.

That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. DL is not an NBA player. In many regards he is like Perry. A really good college player whose game is not suited for the NBA. He's going to get paid, just not by the NBA. Maybe I'll watch him during the summer league before he gets cut.

Undrafted forward Dedric Lawson out of Kansas has committed to playing Summer League with the Golden State Warriors which needs some players.

Good for Dedric! Tough night not getting drafted but landed with a heck of an organization.
Does anyone know if Willie Green (Warriors Summer League Coach last summer) has joined the Suns?
I have no doubt there will be some quality guy coaching him - and hopefully helping him somehow make the Warriors roster.
Will be interesting to see if Vick plays summer league ball.

Dotson definitely would have been drafted last night. He did KU a huge favor by returning and has bet on himself that a solid season of hard work will pit millions of additional dollars in his pocket in improved draft position. I will be cheering extra hard for him next next year.

Dotson might have gone to the Celtics late in the 2nd instead of Tremont Waters.

I haven't quite turned the page and started consistently calling '19-'20 "this year" yet apparently.

Tough night for Dedric, but I imagine the Lakers might need some replacement players.

At the end of the draft, you'd probably rather go undrafted and pick your spot, I'd guess. He will get some looks. I hope he's able to find a place. Like you said, every undrafted rookie should be calling the Lakers.

Golden State will be looking for budget players too for next season. They might have $55m on IR...
