Mitch Lightfoot - Redshirt

Post by randylahey »

Apparently his decision is official now. No surprise. Think he should help us this year in practice and save our asses next year once potentially Dok, de sousa, mccormack could be gone

Good for Mitch; I hope he continues to work on his perimeter game and becomes more of a stretch-4 as a RS Senior.

Come on. McCormack? Can we at least be a little reasonable?

One season of practice.

One season as a senior leader.

One season as an Arizona Wildcat.

One season where he takes his red shirt off due to an injury and plays starting in December.

Mccormack is a mcdonalds all american. they dont stick around college long. 2nd year already. is a big strong athletic post who is working on his outside jumper and has vastly improved since last season. saying he could potentially leave is realistic

It is a possibility in theory based on generics such as "he is a McDonalds AA". Based on his play to date, it is not remotely realistic.

You need talent and opportunity. Unless Doke misses significant time this year (which: not unlikely!), McCormack won’t have enough of the latter to justify passing up a 2020-21 season as a starter.

Don’t know what will happen with Silvio, but a frontcourt of Wilson, Lightfoot and McCormack isn’t a bad place to start.

If Mac were to go pro, it would be awesome, cuz that means he will have done awesome things this season.

But I'm not quite sure it's there. Seems like too much of an "old school" big that isn't such a sure fit in the NBA any more. I mean Dok is bigger than Mac and Dok hasn't had any interest from the league, so what does Mac do to sell a GM?

He needs to learn how to shoot better in actual games and to settle the bleep down. I expect him to give a speech on Senior Night but I hope that he continues to improve at such a rapid rate that leaving after his junior year is an option.

I don't see the Wilson love, what's he done?

Be 6'8" with ball skills. He sure looks like small-ball 4s we've had a lot of success with in recent years.

He also loved Grimes....

Thanks for pointing that out, gutter.

It seems everyone missed on Grimes, though fortunately, such a miss is rare.
