The best men's college basketball player from all 50 states

At least one glaring mistake. I assume most can/will figure out what I am referring to.

While our JC team was warming up to play the second half against OCU's freshman, I bent down to pick up the basketball and when I stood up I was looking at Artis Gilmore's waistband. This was when Jacksonville played OCU in 1971. They had been warming up during our half time. With his afro, Gilmore looked to be 9 ft tall.

I’m guessing you’re talking Wilt v Pete but Pete got three seasons.

Wilt better player overall but Pete maybe better college career.

That's a good story!
Artis lived near a friend of mine and would often be seen shooting hoops at a local school. With a joint behind his ear. That he would eventually smoke on the court.

Didn't even think about that but you bring up an excellent point.

What I noticed has to do with the guy from Mississippi and that this was supposedly done/written two days ago.

Danny spent more time in Kansas than anywhere else. I like Darnell Valentine, but the free throws Harris hit Thursday might have been 50-50. He was chiseled, but needed to be more Steph Curry in the gym shooting. His biggest play in college was drawing a charge in the Sweet 16 that wasn't called. BH Born at least won a national title. But Wilt off any list is a mistake. Even Maravich would have admitted that. Changed the game.

Yea but he moved to Carolina qhen he was an infant. Either way, if were solely basing it on where they are bornthen he still needs to be on the list

I think their article is based solely on location of birth.

Although any 'greatest' list has to have Jordan. If not, it's clown town.

True. But.....
Forgetting what states they should be listed under, in COLLEGE........
As the article stated....
Thompson won AP Player of the Year twice while attending NC State. Over three seasons, he averaged 26.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, helping him beat out an impressive list of North Carolina natives.

What it didn't state.... While attending UNC, over 3 seasons, Jordan averaged 17.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

Greatest COLLEGE players.

Kareem is the goat of college. Dean Smith is the only person who can keep Jordan under 20, and he did it a lot.
