Re: Totally random thread
Sorry to derail the thread but I have an important public service announcement. I did an experiment both yesterday and this morning in which the results make little to no sense to me. Yesterday.... Woke up and got on TWO scales. Took a piss, got back on the scaleS, according to one scale I lost .4 p...

Re: Sports Gambling
Thought I was going to have a bad night. Turned out to be decent. Made a little money. Idiot me went to bet the Wolves -2.5 when the game started and when I hit place bet and it asked me if I accepted the line change I accepted it. It was Wolves -4.5. Decided to slightly hedge myself and took the Ma...

Re: The Travel Thread
That's unfortunate pdub! As you said, the "tourists are a necessary evil" but I sincerely feel bad you suffer in ways because of it. The nice thing is you seem to have alternatives and are still able to enjoy and appreciate the area in which you live. In my next life if I can choose 5 plac...

Re: NBA draft
My worthless opinions..... A. If the Celtics win the Championship, they prove they don't need LeBron, and having LeBron AND Bronny wouldn't be much more than a distraction, side show, gimmick, for the Celtics. B. They can afford it if LeBron truly feels playing with his son and on a Championship tea...

Re: The Travel Thread
Tourists are a necessary evil. I like how they keep our local businesses thriving but I do not like how they drive, walk or generally present themselves in public. You're saying Maine "can't be beat" in the Summertime doesn't get a rebuttal from me, but my guess is MICH begs to differ. I ...

Re: NBA Playoffs 24
I was hoping to come on here and read randy's 1st half assessment.
Something like....
Luka is trying too hard to be Steph.
Ant Ed is trying too hard to be LeBron. He needs to try to be Jordan or Kobe.

Re: Iowa/UConn women’s game
Sooo I am admittedly naive about this one, and sure could just google, and might eventually anyway. But for the sake of message boreding, I’ll ask: How does maternity leave work for female professional athletes? A monkey shits in a 12"x18"x8" cardboard box. A 300 pound 4 foot tall Ir...

Re: Iowa/UConn women’s game
I can't find attendance numbers for that game (Game 4 of the series) but Game 3 (the previous game) 7,421 was the announced attendance. For the Finals the home games were announced at 10,378 - which is/was capacity. My guess is they wouldn't have had a whole lot more show up if the stadium had more ...

Re: Iowa/UConn women’s game
That lower section is actually pretty full. The upper section not so much. Probably, what, 5,500 fans there? My guess is it was closer to around 8,000. Possibly as many as 10,000. Which is much better than the DePaul Blue Demons draw in the same arena. Two side notes... That game sent the Sky to th...

I care cuz I’m just genuinely curious what twocoach’s understanding may be for him to come to a conclusion as absolute as a “definitely not” No you're not. You're not curious. You're eager to tell someone your opinion of why they are wrong and you are right. There's a difference. No I'm not? You ca...

that you are discussing the end of a wnba game is all the proof the world needs. I'm someone who attended WNBA games blurry camera phone pics from behind the bench or it didn't happen Fairly recent pics I could provide. The games I attended before Clark was born, I didn't have a camera phone. https...

Tatum is blowing it. He just made couple buckets to redeem himself. But I've said to people all season, Tatum thinking he's Kobe could be the Celtics Achilles heel. He's known to make some bad decisions and take bad shots He's also so ridiculously talented and can hit some bad shots a. I feel your ...

4.8 points, 2.8 boards, and 2.1 assists. And yet, spoken of as a first round pick. Fwiw (nothing), Russell Westbrook's Freshman year he averaged 9 minutes a game, 3.4 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. Absolutely no relevance A. I did say "nothing" in regards to "Fwiw. ;) B. I on...

Is there usually at least one among the 30 teams that says, yea we’re gonna for sure take you with our first round pick? How solid is that sort of assurance?
