I rented 3-cylinder Geo Metro once in Huntsville, AL, once and drove it to Birmingham. Huge long hills on that interstate. Car was so bad I was laughing at it.

Watched “Young Frankenstein” on Starz tonight, and after seeing it tens of times in the last 40+ years, I still caught hilarious little touches I hadn’t noticed before. To me it’s Mel Brooks best film and the best comedy film ever made. Great clip here (under 6 minutes): https://m.youtube.com/watch...

No. Duck, elk, raccoon, squirrel, and frog legs, yes. Loved fresh catfish as a kid, but didn’t like restaurant catfish as an adult.

Re: Remember, Vote REPUBLICAN!

If you’re against the principle that the burden of proof is on the accuser, vote Democrat. If you believe that you should be able to destroy people’s lives with unprovable allegations alone, vote Democrat. You honestly believe that if the judge were a liberal being accused that the republicans woul...

Re: Official Game thread: KU vs ESU

The big question is will they be organized enough to play Michigan State in two weeks? It's early season for everyone. I'd guess it'll be sloppy on both sides. Lots of guys in new roles for them too. Looking at Michigan State’s roster, I see 5 juniors, 2 seniors, 2 sophomores, and 7 freshmen. I don...

I tend to forget how old you are and then you share your experiences and I am reminded. That was supposed to make you smile. I'm sorry you had to experience the chaos that you endured while as a college student. I can't even imagine. Must have been frightening and unnerving. Crazy years indeed. Ple...

The Crazy Years

While I was a student, the Student Union burned, a Savings & Loan near downtown Lawrence was bombed, and Summerfield Hall was bombed. If I remember correctly, the police thought the fire was started by someone who threw a firebomb out of the elevator on the top floor, late in the evening when no...

2. None. I freely confess that I’m a homer.
3. A. Light blue. B. Dark blue.
4. No.
5. Vermont, North Dakota, and Montana. The only 3 states I’ve never been to.

Traegar smoker? If you didn’t know about this already, you might try it. It’s not in earlier manuals. Not sure about later manuals.

Prime Cut (1972). Lee Marvin, Gene Hackman, and Sissy Spacek in her first movie. Marvin, a Chicago mobster sent to discipline a Kansas City mobster, rescues a naked Spacek from a barn where drugged sex slaves are kept, buys her a see-through dress, but no underwear, and takes her to dinner. Later he...

1. No.
2&3. You don’t seem to have much to a sense of privacy about your personal/family life. It’s an attitude that makes me shudder to think about airlines allowing cell phone calls in flight.
4. No.
5. No plans.
