Why in the world would any player with a pretty solid NBA future play college basketball this year? Bryce Thompson will play in the NBA, whether he ever plays a minute of college basketball, for example.

I agree. And especially why would any player pull out of the nba draft at this point with the uncertainty of if a season even happens and/or if there are even more limits on how much coaching can take place.

And that doesnt even take into account the fact that we still dont know much about long term health impacts of actually catching the virus.

Does anyone else feel like if this nba experiment goes badly that it will doom college basketball next season?

Currently i put the odds of a real college season with ncaa tournament champion crowned at 50%. If nba cant make it thru their 1 site shortened season and playoffs then i dont think college basketball will even be attempted. Maybe conference only? Havent some football conferences already said they are conference only for football this season ending any chance at a real champion being crowned? I havent seen anything about basketball yet thankfully.
