If Duke looses 2 of their next 3 and Colorado State wins their last 2, I don't think Duke is in the convo.

Duke is 47th.

Speaking of Colorado State, if they aren't gonna make up some of their games, they could be a candidate to play KU on that Thursday or Friday March 4/5.

Duke very well may lose two of their last 3. My guess is they go 2-1.
Problem is we have nothing to go by right now other than "if".
I say if Duke wins two of their next 3 and wins a couple of ACC Tourney games - they are in - pretty easily - despite what happens with Colorado State.

Think about it. My guess is 95% of people who watch the tournament could not tell you right now that Niko Medved is the coach of Colorado State. Most people know K is the coach of Duke.
Duke is Duke. Love them or hate them, they bring viewers to their televisions.
The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee is fully aware that the network/s would prefer to air a Duke game over a Colorado State game and that people would prefer to watch Duke play (some want to see them win - some want to see them lose) than Colorado State.
Now don't get me wrong, I 100% feel a more deserving team should make the tournament over a "name" but "names" are what brings $ and the NCAA and the Networks are big fans of $.

KU will max out at a 3 and bottom out at a 6.

Going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

SI.com has KU has a 4. Playing Toledo. With Wisconsin as the 5 and Ohio State as the 1.

Would.

Could be a first round KU v UNC possibility in the works.

As it usually is, this year it's going to be extremely difficult for the selection committee to figure out who is deserving and who isn't - if you take in to account games that were NOT played.
Meaning, should Kansas get awarded a higher seed because they played more games than let's say someone such as Florida State? Or does Kansas actually get "penalized" for it because KU played and lost more games against ranked opponents?

Obviously it is what it is and I suppose conference champs should be awarded but....
When teams such as Abilene Christian, Grand Canyon, Texas State, Cleveland State, and Eastern Washington are projected to take up 5 spots over teams such as Michigan State, Duke, and Wichita State (who recently beat projected 2 or 3 seeds) are fans supposed to be happy that those 5 teams made it while Sparty, Dook, and Shocker didn't? Maybe so. I like Cinderellas as much as anyone but I don't like when kids who are superstars - don't play in the tournament and I (and the rest of the viewers) don't get to see them play when "the lights are on".
I guess it's easy to counter with how great was it to see UMBC beat Virginia in 2018 but do you think anyone other than Mancrappers were happy watching KSU beat UMBC 50-43 the next game?

I think they gotta win it to get a 3.
But we are at worse a 5 now.
Win a game in KC and locked in 4.

I'd say 2 seed if baylor and osu beat wvu.

Gotta look at the teams above us for a top 8-12 overall seed.
They’d all have to loose.
A lot.

Just WVU.

If we're second in one of the two toughest conferences it'd be tough to deny us. Especially if we win 2+ in the conference tourney.

We are probably a 3 seed right now.

Texas and OU were just ahead of us In Lunardi’s seeding. Both lost today.

As did Florida State.

I’d say a 3-1 finish and a 3 seed is a near lock. 2-1 and it’s depending on others.

Those B1G teams all play each other. I don't think the second place team from the american gets seeded ahead of #2 team in Big12.

Win the thing and we are a 3.
Too many teams ahead of us in NET, kenpom and we just have too many looses.

If Houston wins out, they will have a higher seed than us, no matter what we do imo. ( unless we beat Texas, OU and Baylor on our way to the B12 tourney champ and even then I don’t think Houston would drop below 3 )

We have a big advantage only having UTEP left.

There will be a lot of losses for a lot of teams.
