"Freedom did not" cause businesses to shut down.

Someone needs to repeat 8th Grade Civics. How does someone become such an idiot?

Well it can either be "countless" or "thousands" but not both, so we will call ousdahl right. ;)

Tangentially, I maintain that many of those companies were headed towards the end with or without covid. e.g. that shitty restaurant bubble was at the max.

I'm not saying that's my prediction. Just wanting you guys to think. We know covid mutates and we know it still transmits through vaccinated populations. So that is possible
I have a great imagination and can think up all sorts of stupid shit on my own that's "possible". It's "possible" that a wheel could fall off a plane passing over where I am standing and strike me dead. That "possibility" doesn't require me to change my path.

Your stupid scenario is even less likely than mine.

Did Don Chilito's close? That was the cockroach/twinkie of restaurants. I figured it would be around after WWIII.

There is a long Chilito's COVID saga that we may have already discussed. Essentially he said he would defy any mask mandate. His place then gets packed with those type of people for a week. Rumors that he only said it only to go down in a ball of flames and could blame COVID for his closure.

That's been awhile ago--the latest is that supposedly the doors are closed and no one knows what is going on.

I was thinking (i know, there i go again...) that they went up in the alphabet like they do for hurricanes.

Probably a good time for the entire world to shelter in place for 3-4weeks. Everyone. In the entire world.

It's not a "line". Its the best and only way to really stop the spread of the virus around the globe. We can do other things to "slow" the spread, but those methods don't stop the spread. If we are just trying to slow it then we all better get comfortable with masks and occasional partial shutdowns. I would rather just do the extreme shutdowns one time and get the virus circulating at almost non existent levels. Otherwise this isn't going to end.
