I think KJ and clemence play together a lot. Its a 2 big lineup, kind of, both are modern bigs. Clemence might be the best shooter on the team, self is gonna use him different than the average big. Then KJ is just an absolute specimen. Has some guard skills that are still developing but he can guard 1-5 and is an absolute freak athletically

These 2 bigs will both play good minutes, play together quite a bit, and give self a chance to be very creative with our lineups in new ways. Im excited

KJ plays fast and is good on defense already. Will be fun to watch.

Everyone raved about the offensive explosion in the second half that instantly turned the Miami game around. I think KJs defense on McGusty in the final 28 seconds of the first half was the spark. Dude was carving us up, Self was disgusted and threw Adams in to see if something could change. Frosh jumped in McGusty's grill, shut him down and blocked his shit for good measure. Then fist-pumped us into the lockerroom. Can't wait to see more of KJ.

I think KJ is on the Marcus Morris path in that he’s going to leave KU as a 3

Towards end of the season Adams didn’t play a ton as the lone big. Was much more on the perimeter. Spent the majority of his minutes as a SR in HS on the perimeter.

Mark Vital with hopefully more offense on the way.

KJ rarely, if ever, played alongside DMac.

If we are talking about garbage minutes where it was a no brainer that KJ and Clemence were both coming in, then i do not think that is evidence he is a "wing" (imo).

Hits the gag reflex for sure.

But man I can envision KJ winning Big 12 DPOY before he leaves.

The labels end up being mostly semantics and some are even outdated.

KJ plays on the perimeter in a 4-out system. That part is completely inarguable.

KJ is a 4 - just not a stretch 4. Can play 5 as his athleticism makes up for lack of height. I just see him more as a power forward.

I agree it’s semantics.
Just gets certain posters in a bothered tizzy if they hear we are playing with two bigs, which we well could be if KJ and Clemence start.
Not sure why.

Now apparently it doesn't count as 2 bigs unless both stay camped out in the paint....which has never really been a thing.

Go back and watch 6' 7" KJ Adams' defense on McGusty and then tell me he is a 'big'.
