misery just doesn’t check enough boxes for me
Again, I'll go back to this.

What benefit did KU have in playing former Big 12 members Nebraska and Colorado? There were none. Even less boxes than Missouri. Missouri is actually fighting for some high profile guys in recruiting, so by beating them, could help KU in recruiting.
and i didn’t see the benefit to those games either

(did enjoy flipping misery the bird in that way tho)

Eh, I think we extrapolate the 2012 game to the entire series.

While at KU from 2004-08, the mizzou game just had no luster or juice, if you will, because they flat out sucked. The Georgia Tech game on the other hand . . .

A lot goes into that, and I think overall it has to do with how good the other squad is, and yes, also how much the fan base hates the other team. I just don't buy that an NIT-bound Missouri home game will be a higher ticket price than if #3 UK comes to AFH--last time the secondary market on that game was insane.

Probably an individual fan thing. From where I sit now, I'm no longer interested in paying a bunch of money to watch us play a mediocre Missouri squad. Not a chance I go to the Sprint Center games at the ticket price it will be. Will save the cash for Champions Classic trip, Maui, road games in Lexington, etc.

That GT game was amazing. Top 3 favorites I've ever attended in AFH. There was a huge comeback on Oklahoma around the same time that was incredible also....there was a game against UK when rondo was there that was also awesome, mainly because we kicked their ass as underdogs.

It was so fun to be in the stands for those games. Usually with my dad. I had butterflies/goosebumps so bad during a few of those I thought I might puke in the bleachers.

I’ll take a home and home series EVERY year with:

Duke
Michigan St
North Carolina
Kentucky
Villanova
Gonzaga
Louisville
Arizona
UCLA
Virginia

Because those games mean something, Missouri doesn’t.

I will say - it's genuinely destabilizing to be opposite you and some other folks I really like on this point.

Temple

Villanova has been a mid major for most of its existence

In 2020, we’re starting a series with mid major Missouri.
Nicely done.

Does tigerbored still exist, and is it still as ugly as it was 20 years ago?

Just googled it. The answer to both of your questions is yes. It's awful.

Wasn't on there for more than 10 seconds. Didn't even read any of the topics or anything. Just saw a horrible layout and called it good.

That site is known to cause migraine headaches. My advice is to avoid it like the plague.

Good grief. The two white people are a future doctor and a future corporate finance person. The two African americans? Nothing more than what they were born as. You'd think that a university with their recent race relations would put a little more effort into what they put out.

Let's hope the students made the decision on what their slogan was on that advertisement.

And there is now a story at the top corner of cnn.com titled "University apologizes for insensitive tweet" about this ridiculousness.

I hate the MethZoo program, fans, players and fans. I prefer they rot in hell and I never had to think about them again...
