Re: Conference Realignment..?

Eh, a little hindsight and assuming a few things, but I think the original Big 12 would have worked out just fine only losing A&M and adding 5 good schools starting with Arkansas. I won't pat mizzou on the back for begging for a B1G invite because it was before things really started to crumble....

Re: Conference Realignment..?

Halfway through high school I moved from a very suburban school in Arizona to a very rural one in Arkansas. The culture shock was jarring, but I remember one kid who hadn't left the county. He saw no reason to go to Little Rock because the big city was too crime-ridden and, besides, you couldn't hun...

RE: Colgate...not only do they only have 15 games played, they only played, like, four teams. Their Covid schedule makes it really hard to analyze what they are.

Re: List of ballparks you've been to

All but DC, Philly, Mets, Brewers (I know, those aren't Stadiums, but the names change so often...)
plus the new Stadiums of the Braves, Rangers, Yankees and Twins.

My son is PhDing in Blacksburg and we had plans to knock off DC, Philly, Mets and maybe new Yankee this summer. Stupid Covid...

Wilt over Shaq, cheat and put Bill Russell at the 4 and I respectfully disagree with Larry over LeBron at the 3. My team is the starting 5 in the Universal Basketball Tourney - if played at Earth's gravity of course.

Re: Official KU v Monmouth Gamethread

John Douglas...when I was at my one summer of the Ted Owens Jayhawk Basketball Camp, Ted had Douglas there helping out. Ted let him just shoot one afternoon while Ted talked about form. Damn, he was smooth. And I certainly don't remember him missing. Then Ted hit about 15 free throws in a row. Dude ...

Re: KU basketball expected to face multiple major violation allegations from NCAA:

The Kansas Legislature needs to have a NIL bill, modeled on California's, ready to go if the NCAA hammer drops. That would be an FU back and it is only a matter of time until more states pass something. We can compete for the championship of the Western Collegiate Athletic Association against all th...

Re: Who is the GOAT

Remember, Wilt was a world class track athlete who played professional volleyball in his 40s or 50s. When people speculated on him coming back to the NBA around that time, no one really laughed. If he wanted to shoot threes he would spend all summer shooting and the lead the league. Wilt was a real ...

Re: Beaty Fired:

Gill was/is a decent coach and was trying but had too deep of a hole to dig out of in the time he was given. WTF? Gill was horrific and as incompetent as Weiss and Beaty in his own way. Any hole he had to dig out of was largely of his own digging. And the only good anyone gives Weiss credit for was ...
